Straight onto your timeline

All our digital video backgrounds are delivered as QuickTime movies that you can drop straight onto the timeline of most non-linear editing applications: Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express, Avid, Premiere etc - any application that can accept QuickTime (.mov) files**. Due to the nature of codecs and compression and the resulting files sizes, the video backgrounds are compressed using a variety of codec technologies. We use the following codecs: Animation, H.264 and Apple ProRes HQ. The majority of the backgrounds in the library is available in Broadcast HD 1080 50i and PAL SD 16:9 (720 x 576 anamorphic) formats. A few items in the library are currently only available in PAL SD 16:9 (720 x 576 anamorphic) format. Please see the individual Collections.

Delivery

The movies are generally delivered via download. File sizes vary widely: please see individual clips. You may decide you would prefer physical delivery; for instance If you decide to purchase an entire Collection. These will be delivered on DVD-ROM, sent by First Class in the UK and Standard Airmail in the rest of the world. Please see the Cart area for charges, where you can select your delivery option.

What you will need:

You will need a computer with a fast broadband Internet connection for downloads or a DVD drive to access the digital video background files if you select physical delivery. You will also need QuickTime Pro 7 installed on your computer, along with the Apple ProRes decoder for Mac or Windows.
